Team History

2008/9 has been a fantastic season for the U18s(last seasons U17s). We entered the U18s league facing tough opposition from teams of U18s that were noticeably bigger and physically stronger. Yet we have ended runners up in the league, losing only 1 league game all season and that to the eventual league winners.
We also finished runners up in the plate in a greatly contested and passionate game against our own then U18s team.
The achievements of this season are even more impressive as we have struggled most weeks, due to injuries and general unavailability, to field a full team.
The lads have been deservedly complimented throughout the season by opposition managers for playing good quality organised football throughout the team.
The passion and belief of the lads is demonstrated by their understandable disappointment in coming so close to winning the league and the plate, rather than feeling proud of what they have achieved. We are striving to continue to improve this and have set our target at a very high level for the coming season.

Home Pitch

Our home pitch for this season will be at Gainsborough Sports Centre in Ipswich and matches are normally Saturday morning with a 10.30 am kick-off.
